I've been involved in different areas of music, from song writing to music production, but DJing and watching everyone having a good time, was always my first choice.

I grew up listening to different genres of music, so I mostly do open format. However, I can stick to your preferred genre at your request, and also tailor the playlist to your liking.

  ORGANIZATION

Your musical preferences are most important. You have the option of making a list of your favourite songs or give me an idea of the songs you may like. I get to work downloading new music and assembling your best loved old school hits. I will then reach out to you with a setlist that you can add to and revise as your event approaches. Some of my clients prefer to articulate their overall music preferences and then leave the song selection up to me. The process is as hands-on or hands-off as you’d like.

EVENT LOCATION & PLANNING

I will communicate with you or the event planner two weeks before the event to know if there are any adjustments to our plan. A site walkthrough is always the best for proper coordination and management.

DOUBLE CHECK & REFINE

Seven days before your event, you can make any last-minute song requests and finalize your “do not play” list. I'll refine the setlist and double-check speakers, wiring, microphones, and lighting etc. Any additional equipment needed to accommodate extra guests for your event, should be conveyed at this time to be sure there is ample time to acquire.

Rest assured, sit back, relax, and enjoy your event! I'll handle all equipment setup, DJing and MCing for the duration of your event. With a great song selection, professional equipment and a skillful/ energetic DJ, your guests are guaranteed to have a great time. I will also take care of the equipment breakdown after your event.

How much do you charge for an event?

Our rates are usually based on the amount of equipment needed for best sound quality, the preparation necessary to prevent hiccups, and the amount of hours spent at the event. All events are unique and therefore require special consideration.

Do you have reliable equipment?

I only invest in equipment designed for professional DJs. New Macbook Pro M1 chip to run Serato DJ software, Rane DJ controller with one of the best sound cards out there,  Audio-Technica headphones, Shure microphones, Chauvet lighting, Yorkville & QSC Powered speakers, etc. My music is sourced from professional DJ websites to ensure excellent sound quality, I also have a quick download system intended for song requests.

How important is the free consultation?

The free consultation comprises discussions about specific details about your event, the music on your playlist and your overall vision. The conversation is tailored to where you are in the planning process (just starting out, weighing multiple options, or ready to book the right DJ), and will help you determine if I’m a good fit to spin at your wedding or private event. At the end of our consultation, I will offer to send you a quote based on the details you provided. Consultations take place by phone for clients living outside Edmonton and can take place by phone or in-person for clients in the city.

Which genre is your favourite to play?

It’s always a good feeling to see everyone have fun and enjoy themselves, so the genre that gets the dance floor going will always be my favourite. I’m an open format DJ, so I have hits from every genre. Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Funk, different flavours of Rock, Alternative, Country, Disco, Top 40 Pop, Bhangra, Reggae/Dancehall, Reggaeton and a mixture of mega hits from other genres. If it moves patrons, I’ll play it.

I enjoy feeling the vibe of the crowd and tailoring the music to fit them, so took the time to master the art of  Smooth Transitions, Song Selection, Scratching and Emceeing.
